MAFIA CASANOVA by M ROBINSON & RACHEL VAN DYKEN

'He was almost too pretty to be ruthless - but we all knew the truth. Sometimes the prettiest things in the world were far more warning than invitation.'

Well, M Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken certainly came out all guns blazing with the prologue in Mafia Casanova! Wow! What a way to begin one angsty, gritty, twisty and totally addictive Mafia Romance! This first collaboration between these authors was seamless. So cohesive was the collaboration, it was hard to tell where one author ended and the other began. A remarkable joint Mafia romance from this dynamic duo that only made our mouths water thinking about their next offering!

Although pulsing with searing passion, this is a slow burn romance about a love that would consume and destroy. A story of secrets, lies and betrayal told by two authors who know only too well how to grip a reader’s heart by serving up a huge dose of angst. We can picture M Robinson and RVD rubbing their hands with glee as they plot to destroy their reader's hearts, keeping them on a knife’s edge, as they slowly and painfully sew them back together. Well played ladies! Well played!

LIGHT MY FIRE (Sex. Rock. Mafia #1) by JESSICA RUBEN

‘He isn’t beautiful or handsome. Nico is too rugged to be described with those words. He’s dangerous, chiselled and raw. He is physically everything a man should be. Tall, broad, and lethal.’

Light My Fire by Jessica Ruben had everything we love in a mafia romance. It was gritty, dark and bold. It was passionate and enticing. It also highlighted the realities of war and oppression, family, love and loyalty. It highlighted the work of freedom fighters.  It was brilliantly written and had that ultimate suave bad arse mafia boss we love so much, as well as a sweet but feisty heroine! The way in which this slow burn romance was written was on point. Especially to be able to build the foundation of love in childhood, which can so easily go wrong. Jessica Ruben managed to build a connection so early on which grows and matures naturally. We fell in love with falling in love.

KING OF SOULS (Nico & Ari Duet #2) VERONA LEGACY by L.A. Cotton

‘I didn’t want to be Arianne’s prince. I wanted to be her king. The king of her heart. The king of her soul.’

Without question, the love story between Nicco and Ari was straight out a mafia version of a Romeo & Juliet type romance. Both suffering from the forced inability to be together. Family wars, criminal wrongdoings, violence and the sins of the fathers. It’s all there with love as the shining beacon.

PRINCE OF HEARTS: NICO & ARI DUET (Verona Legacy #1) by L.A. COTTON

“I would kill for you, Arianne. That’s who I am. I might not like everything about my life, my legacy, but this life, the codes I am bound to, run through my blood.”

It's been a while since we've immersed ourselves in a Mafia romance, and didn't L.A. Cotton provide all those feelings we love to experience with these type of reads. You know the ones? They make our hearts flutter whilst simultaneously leaving them a ragged wreck when the author brings you the angst, intensity and the threatening world of the Mafia forbidden romance theme.

This story was like an intense, intriguing and angsty puzzle piece – every step forward took us two steps back guessing how it was all going to come together – deceit and lies, love and passion, happiness and heartbreak, it was all here, and OMG! We are so ready for more! We cannot wait for the next book, King of Souls! There's no doubt about it. L.A. Cotton wowed us with this book!

WAITING FOR MY QUEEN by GEORGIA CATES

‘The story will begin like this: Once upon a time, a devil fell in love with an angel.’

It’s been a while since we last read a Georgia Cates book, so we were so excited to see this Author was releasing a mafia romance set in the 70s, and a dark one at that. Waiting for my Queen did not start gently, rather it had quite the exciting and powerful beginning.  We were immediately drawn into the mafia romance of Emilia and Luca and were compelled to find out how this anti-hero could possibly redeem himself in Emilia’s eyes. After all, his atrocious acts of dominance and control were not forgivable in our eyes.
